May 23-26, 2019
Historic Canton Theatre
Downtown Canton, Georgia

An international film festival that provides a platform for independent filmmakers to share their work. The four-day, first ever Etowah Film Festival includes a Friday night Filmmaker’s Reception, Sunday morning Patron Brunch and screenings of independent films in the categories below:

Best Documentary (short or feature)
Best Environmental Subject (short or feature) Best Narrative Short
Best Narrative Feature
Best Student Short

The Etowah Film Festival manifested from a simple question: How is a city with such a beautiful historic theatre not hosting an amazing film festival? Especially considering Georgia's thriving film industry, Cherokee County is now a Camera Ready Community and has hosted over 100 production crews for movies, television shows and videos and our area colleges and high schools all have film/media related degrees and classes. The film festival will also generate thousands of dollars in economic impact for the Canton area making it a win-win for all involved.
